Lovers of nature, culture and slow routes? We propose a bike tour along the Brenta Riviera with a visit to Villa Pisani in Stra.

The bike itinerary follows the route of the Brenta Canal, a famous waterway that connects Padua to Venice and is surrounded by countless Venetian villas.

The route will start in Dolo, where the bikes and the guide will be ready and waiting for you. Before leaving you will be able to see the ancient Squero di Dolo and its still functioning mill. Here there is also the main lock on the river Brenta, called "porte vinciane", before letting it flow towards the sea. The river Brenta is in fact still navigable today, and the moorings for boats along its banks are clearly visible. Generally these are near the villas, where in the past the lords of the Serenissima used to spend their summer holidays.

This bike tour will allow you to admire the Venetian Villas and some of the period residences up close, along the cycle path or low-traffic roads.

After a short stop to taste local products, you will resume the route until you reach the majestic Villa Pisani in Stra. Here you will have free time to visit the Villa or simply its park.

This bike tour is suitable for everyone because of its ease of use, being along cycle paths or roads with low traffic, on flat terrain. The route is 85% asphalt, 15% gravel. Length of the route: 20 km, 4h, easy difficulty, 6-speed touring bikes with side bags will be provided.
