Further information

The creative process will take place in a Venetian art atelier near the Rialto, where you will be guided step by step through the creation of your own Venetian mask. The artistic workshop involves the creation and decoration of your own work according to the most traditional techniques, but following your personal style. The result will then be a mask that is more unique than rare!

The workshop can be organised in two ways:

  • Mask decoration: a 2-hour workshop during which you can choose the mask model to be decorated and enriched according to your taste, using materials (colours, feathers, crystals, etc.) and advice from the workshop.
  • Creation and decoration of the mask: a 5-hour workshop in which the papier-mâché mask is made and decorated the following day. This workshop is divided into two days in order to allow the mask to dry after its creation.

The workshops, both for groups and for individuals, are suitable for all ages. Please note that the presence of an adult is also required for children under 7 years of age. The creations can also be of varying degrees of complexity, depending on the preparation of the participants. The artisans in the atelier will recognise individual needs and guide your creativity. There will also be explanations in Italian, English, French, Spanish and German on the methods of making masks and their history.

The workshops are available every day from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., subject to our confirmation of availability in the workshop. For this reason, please indicate your chosen time in the notes when booking.
